We are seeking an experienced and technically competent Civil Highway Engineer to oversee and coordinate technical activities on highway construction projects in Nakuru, Kenya. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting road construction drawings and specifications, preparing and reviewing technical documents (including construction organization plans, method statements, and technical briefings), and ensuring construction activities comply with applicable specifications, technical standards, quality requirements, and acceptance standards. Key responsibilities also include coordinating daily technical activities with supervisors, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders, participating in progress and site coordination meetings, conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality, and supporting the resolution of technical issues. Requirements include technical knowledge of road construction and proficiency in construction drawing interpretation. CAD drafting skills are an added advantage.
