We are hiring a Supplier Quality Engineer / Inspection Engineer – Mechanical for Fabtech Consultants. This role is based in Navi Mumbai / Western Mumbai, Maharashtra, within the EPC / Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Power / Industrial Projects industry. The MRF ID for this position is FH-REQ-1433.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspection of mechanical equipment, piping, structural steel, valves, fasteners, and other mechanical components.
- Perform and coordinate NDT inspection and testing activities.
- Inspect rotary and static equipment as per approved specifications and quality requirements.
- Conduct valve inspection and testing.
- Carry out supplier and vendor inspections to ensure compliance with project quality standards.
- Review inspection reports, quality documents, test certificates, and technical specifications.
- Monitor supplier quality and ensure adherence to approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Identify quality deviations and coordinate corrective actions.
- Maintain inspection records and prepare quality-related reports.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, project teams, and clients on inspection and quality matters.
Educational Qualifications & Experience:
- BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 5–8 years of experience.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 7–10 years of experience.
Required Technical Skills & Certifications:
- Strong experience in mechanical quality inspection, structural steel, piping, rotary/static equipment, and valves.
- Hands-on experience with NDT inspection and testing.
- Level II / Grade II certifications in RT-II (Radiographic Testing), PT-II (Penetrant Testing), MT-II (Magnetic Testing), UT-II (Ultrasonic Testing), and VT-II (Visual Testing) are required.
